Organization expands as it moves into second year
P4L to operate in six middle schools 2006-2007
HOUSTON (July 10, 2006) – Debbie Dalton has
been named vice president of Resource Development for Prepared 4 Life (www.prepared4life.org), a non-profit organization instilling life skills, character education and entrepreneurialism in Houston middle-school students via experiential after-school programs. Prepared 4 Life operated in three HISD middle schools during the 2005-2006 school year and will expand to six in the coming year.
Prior to joining Prepared 4 Life, Dalton was a grant officer for The Simmons Foundation. A graduate of The University of Texas, Dalton focused her career on real estate marketing and development before transitioning into not-for-profit fundraising. She is an active community volunteer and has held volunteer leadership positions with Houston Habitat for Humanity, Leadership Houston, American Heart Association and the Children’s Assessment Center.
