Prepared 4 Life works with the premier educational and character development organizations in Houston to ensure middle school students enjoy after-school programming that is packaged as pure fun, yet each activity is infused with Prepared 4 Life’s unique life skills, character education and entrepreneurialism curriculum. Our current program partners include:
Amegy Bank
Amegy Bank of Texas provides Prepared 4 Life students with the opportunity to open a savings account at an on-campus bank and helps them set individual financial goals. Additionally, the program teaches the importance of saving and enhances financial literacy through education. Students have the opportunity to tie Amegy accounts to class business ventures and work at the on-campus bank one morning a week.
Children’s Museum of Houston
Science Workshop
The Children’s Museum of Houston’s Science Workshops provide students with on-going opportunities to use their math, science, problem solving and teamwork skills to work on self-initiated and facilitated educational projects in a setting that combines elements of a science lab, wood shop and nature center.
Star's Sidekicks
Girls and Boys Soccer Classes
Through a partnership with local soccer provider, Star's Sidekicks, Prepared 4 Life students are introduced to critical life-skills through soccer. Students not only experience the fundamentals of the most popular sport in the world, but they practice teamwork and sportsmanship.
Kick StartKarate Classes
KICKSTART uses martial arts as a character life-skills program which develops both the social skills and emotional resilience in our youth necessary to avoid drugs and destructive behavior. Students must be given a positive alternative to peer pressures and dropping out of school. They must be given the chance to believe in themselves. That chance is
KICKSTART.
